Treblecone SL
September 4th 2013
The races didn't get off to a great start for me.  In a warm-up run before the first run of the first day I caught a gate in the face in a freak accident and spent the time before the first and second runs being treated in the medical room!  It's a very attractive addition to my face, a gash between the bottom of my nose and my top lip - "glued" together and held down with a stera-stip - I'm unlikely to be appearing in photographs any time soon!

As far as the racing was concerned, it was a case of "so near, yet so far".  Both races were DNFs.  On both occasions, the error occurring in the second run and within a handful of gates from the finish.  Super-annoying.

The pitch of Big Skite at Treblecone is very difficult and even the girls from the Austrian Europa-Cup team were unable to carve a turn on this pitch.  Only 15 girls out of 44 starters finished the first race and just 15 out of 40 finished the second race.

On the plus side, it was a lovely, sunny day and the views were amazing!
