Yesterday, I got the news that I didn't want to receive; that I had not been nominated to represent Ireland in Sochi. I was incredibly disappointed. At least, if I cannot go, however, I am pleased that my sister has been nominated. It's the second-best scenario for me. I hope to go along with my parents, to support Flo, to wave the flag and to cheer her on as loudly as possible. Maybe, when the Sochi Games are over and I have had some time to get over the disappointment, I can think about putting myself through it all again to try for the Games in Pyeongchang in 2018. In the meantime, the very best of luck to Flo, Conor and to everyone in Team Ireland. |
